Lyme Consolidated School is a small, rural K-5 school situated in the picturesque town of Lyme, Connecticut, with a student population of 200. As Lyme is a small, friendly community, the school, which is part of a small complex including the Town Hall and Library, is the hub of much camaraderie and activity. The building, which was built in the 1930s, portrays the warm, nurturing and progressive nature of the instruction provided by the effective and well-trained staff.Because of the school’s small size, all teachers know all students, and all students know the teachers and each other. This intimacy provides a warm and safe environment for students and a friendly, interactive atmosphere for parents.
Lyme-Old Lyme Elementary Schools combine academic and social development curricula to help all students succeed in school and in life. We strive to develop confident, excited and independent learners who seek knowledge, communicate effectively, embrace effort, act thoughtfully, and commit to the common good in a global society.
